Addicted to Twitter... again!

I know we talked about addictions a while back but I would like to discuss my now ongoing addiction to twitter. The twitter project definitely contributed to my reoccurring addiction. I made my twitter account last year and I would keep up with it on and off. One thing I love about twitter is that I could always keep in close contact with people, especially if I didn’t have my phone on me! But sometimes I would get caught up in other things and simply forget about tweeting. For example I would not tweet for two months and then pick it back up again. One reason that I think I have become addicted to twitter again is because of the twitter project assigned for this class. I must admit that I enjoyed the Twitter project. There are times when I don’t know what to tweet because I feel like no one cares what I am doing with my time. Having this assignment gave me something to tweet about. What I think was great about the project was the fact that we were tweeting #90skid and everything I tweeted about people could relate to. I could go for days without talking to some of my friends via text but by tweeting they can comment to me at any time without a personal text message. What made the twitter project fun was that I would tweet something from the 90s and friends I hadn’t talked to in weeks, even months, would comment back to me. I must say that a lot of my friends were tweeting #90skid by the end of last week and they were really adding to my enjoyment of the project by tweeting about various things they miss and remembered from the 90s. Completing this project really made me realize what a great tool twitter is for communicating in today’s world.
