The Bachelor is an ABC sponsored realty television show. The main focus of the show, consists of the producers choosing a male to be the single bachelor looking for a wife, and then finding twenty-five women who are willing to leave their lives behind for two months, and find love. In the recent article we read “Is trash TV Bad for Women? A Producer’s Defense of Celebreality”, the author revealed that most producers are men. Maybe this is why all twenty-five women that are chosen for the show are beautiful bombshells. Let’s be honest, how many over weight or unattractive women have been picked as the cast of the Bachelor? And all of those women, all twenty-five, love all the qualities the Bachelor has. The Bachelor lets off a stereotype for their show. Beautiful women should leave their normal, single lives and jump on an airplane to fight for this man who they know nothing about, who ABC chose for them to fall in love with.
